Formations

At the beginning of every new idea for urban space, there is an object of motivation. The current sculpture project called Formations has its initial inspiration as the first installed object of art in the new cultural/ entertainment area in the village of Gagetown.
Inside the natural contour of the rock, are different forms and textures. These curved shapes are moving inside the rocks as if they are splitting or the opposite – unifying the two massive blocks of granite. The spherical shapes represent the different families, friends, and colleagues that are basically the formation of the village of Gagetown
Visually the forms are inspired by sea animals like barnacles and sea urchins
